Polymer Division encompasses a range of leading companies dedicated to the supply of water-based polymers to the surface coatings, constructions, adhesives, textile and paper industries.
The Division operates through its Synthomer and Revertex companies, operating 14 production facilities with 22 manufacturing plants across Europe, Pacific Rim, Middle East and South Africa, producing approximately 800,000 tonnes of polymers each year.

Our process technology gives us the flexibility to meet the changing needs of the markets we serve, and we place particular emphasis on safety for our both employees and communities in which we operate. As a Division we are committed to improving our year on year environmental performance.
Our business is built around a comprehensive range of emulsion polymer dispersions and lattices based on vinyl acetate homo and co-polymers, pure and styrene acrylics, styrene and nitrile butadiene. In addition, we produce a range of low hydrolysis polyvinyl alcohol materials and a range of speciality products based on poly vinyl acetate. In Asia, we are also active in the manufacture of natural rubber dispersion and alkyd and polyester resins.
Polymer Division continues to follow a strategy of geographic expansion for its product offerings, and continues to invest to support its leadership position in the high growth nitrile latex dipping market for medical examination gloves and speciality styrene butadiene latex markets. At the same time, the business continues to look for opportunities to build on its competences to develop business in new emulsion polymer applications.
